Here Are 5 Things I Did To Lose Weight

I Made Small Swaps, Not Extreme Changes

I didn’t cut everything out. I just made lower-calorie versions of the things I already loved so the routine actually felt livable.

For example, my usual coffee used to be around 500–600 calories and full of sugar. Now I’ll make the same kind of drink with sugar-free syrup and lower-calorie milk it tastes literally the same and cuts hundreds of calories without me feeling deprived (saves money too).

I did the same with sauces, snacks, desserts, wraps, and takeaways. That’s what made this work: not trying to become a different person overnight, just making my normal habits lighter.

I Made Meals That Actually Kept Me Full

Before, I’d eat random “healthy” meals and then feel starving again an hour later. That always led to snacking, cravings, and feeling like I’d failed.

What actually worked was building meals around protein, volume, and satisfaction. Protein keeps you full, volume makes your plate feel bigger(this makes your body think you had a lot of food to eat, making you feel fuller for longer, wehn in reality you actually ate a smaller amount of calories), and taste is what stops you raiding the kitchen later.

Once I started eating meals that were actually filling, food stopped feeling like a constant fight and fat loss became so much easier to stay consistent with.

I Built A System That Works Even On My Worst Days

Anyone can be “on track” when they feel motivated. What actually changed everything was asking: “What does my routine look like when I’m tired, stressed, and busy?” So I built a minimum standard:

A repeatable first meal (no thinking required) A realistic step target (not extreme) Go-to meals I could make in 10 minutes A protein target I could hit even on bad days This meant: No starting from scratch every morning No decision fatigue No “I’ll restart Monday” cycles Consistency comes from systems, not motivation.

I Fixed my 'All or Nothing' Mindset.

This was one of the biggest reasons I struggled before. I used to think: “If I can’t do it perfectly, what’s the point?” “I’ve already messed up today” Now it’s: 70% consistency > 0% perfection A good day still counts, even if it’s not perfect Progress comes from imperfect repetition Example: Didn’t hit steps? → still tracked food Ate more calories? → still hit protein I always kept something consistent. You don’t need perfect days — you need enough good ones.

I Changed My Identity

This is what made it stick. I stopped seeing myself as someone who skips workouts, someone who “can’t stay consistent”, or someone who doesn’t look after herself.

I decided that wasn’t me anymore. I started acting like someone who shows up, follows through, and takes care of her body even on the days I didn’t feel like it, I started acting like the dream version of my self i had in my head forever.

Think about it like this: Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t wake up thinking, “what if I can’t act this scene?” He has confidence because he identifies as an amazing actor. That’s exactly how this works. Once you identify as a disciplined girl, your actions start matching it automatically.
